| More than 65 million years ago, a huge asteroid plummeted to Earth, destroying nearly all life on the planet. Astronomers now know that large asteroids collide with the Earth every 500 years or so. They’ve even identified one that’s likely to come close to Earth on April 13, 2029, and may return to hit us 7 years later. What can we do to prevent this calamity?
